The two portraits above are of two gorgeous brothers, Simon and Max. Nini (Nydia) commissioned these portraits as a gift for her husband John for his birthday this past fall. Honestly--their eyes really do look like this!!!

Some people choose to have their children painted all together. This is a portrait commissioned from a junior school girlfriend (!!!) for her husband Brad's birthday a couple of years ago. I painted the children in different styles to try to capture their completely unique personalities. Just because they are siblings doesn't make them all the same.

These two portraits are of another brother and sister duo. Little Lulu is going in for surgery on April 1, 2010 to repair a hole in her heart. The entire family is very anxious to put this all behind them, obviously. Lulu is a tough tiny little sprite and will be better than ever in no time...I'm sure of it. I'll be thinking of them all over the next couple of weeks and sending all my best to them.
